We’re so excited to be able to announce that we will be reopening our doors on Thursday, August 12 for a big reopening weekend. The weekend is full of events including gigs, club nights and our grand reopening party – we can’t wait!
We’re so excited to be able to announce that we will be reopening our doors on Thursday, August 12 for a big reopening party with the wonderful GRLTLK. Saturday night regulars for years, bringing their indie disco back to life on the top floor! This is the ideal destination for anyone who wants a Foals afterparty, as you can expect all the indie anthems that you’ve missed over the last 16 months!
We then welcome our first “proper” gig back at Clwb on Friday, August 13 with the launch of Hyll’s new EP, Mymryn, presented by Twrw. Support comes from Papur Wal and Hana Lili. The EP came out on Friday and it’s a sombre, funny, introspective delight that sees the band’s sound continue to evolve and reshape itself. The EP does the work of an album in less than 14 minutes.
Following the gig, we welcome the big return of Nuke! Hosted by our pop party starter Dabes, Nuke supplies all that’s needed to truly let loose! Expect chart-toppers, throwback classics and so much more at our regular Friday night show stopper.
And on the top floor, Get Funky are bringing us the unique brand of house & techno of the innovative Jasper James!
Saturday, James & The Cold Gun will make their debut live show (no, we can’t believe it either). Join us in being the first people to witness what’s bound to be a belter of a show.
We follow the gig with what we’ve all been waiting for. Our classic 3 floor Saturday night party with Dirty Pop, Mr Potter’s Proper Disco and GRL TLK. Need for little introduction, the legendary Dirty Pop dazzle with their Electronic Pop and Disco! As you move up the building be prepared to get your groove on to Mr Potter’s funk & soul spectacular. Topping off our 3 floor takeover, GRL TLK bring the energy to Clwb’s top floor for THE Saturday night party we’ve all been waiting for.
