There’s just a week to go now until Clwb’s biggest ever show! Join us, as we welcome Self Esteem to Cardiff Castle. Having had the honour of working with the band since 2019 at Clwb level, it’ll be a pleasure to see Taylor take on one of the city’s biggest venues, Cardiff Castle.
With last year’s release of her third album ‘ A Complicated Woman’, a new era saw Self Esteem emerge more theatrical than ever.
We’ve been there from the start of Taylor’s solo career, here’s a throwback to her playing Sŵn back in 2019.
Just two years later, she was headlining Clwb.
This gig took place after the release of ‘Prioritise Pleasure’, which would go on to be Mercury Prize nominated. It was a launchpad to much bigger things…
We took Self Esteem to Tramshed in 2023, where at this point Taylor had become a household name and had scored the soundtrack for the acclaimed theatre show ‘Prima Facie’.
We’re proud to have followed Self Esteem every step of the way on her journey from indie spaces to huge headline shows.
Now, Taylor has upped the sense of drama in her new live show. Celebrating her latest album, whilst keeping in the classics from her catalogue; expect a mixture of choreographed dances, spoken word sections, and anthems belted out by those powerful, distinct vocals.
