Job: Marketing Assistant

The Marketing Assistant is responsible for the following aspects of the operation of Clwb Ifor Bach: 

1. Social Media

  • Scheduling content on all social media platforms
  • Creating regular Instagram and Snapchat stories 
  • Announcing shows on all platforms
  • Engaging with customers

2. Design

  • Design gig and clubnight posters ready for new show announcements
  • Create posters and flyers for special offers
  • Create artwork for in-house shows
  • Design banners and images for use on social media
  • Design banners for digital screens within the venue

3. Content

  • Create content suitable for show announcements with the aim of increasing sales 
  • Create content for use on all social media platforms, with the aim of increasing customer engagement 

4. Other Responsibilities:

  • Print and facilitate the distribution of posters and flyers
  • Post event photos and photobooth photos on social media 
  • Contribute ideas for the wider marketing strategy 
  • Updating event information on the website

5. Additional Work

Assist as needed with any other work that the Employer deems necessary to be undertaken from time to time.

6. Supervision

The Marketing Assistant will be answerable to the Marketing Officer on a day to day basis, and ultimately to the Board, acting through the Chief Executive Officer.

Essential Experience, Skills & Competences

  • Written and spoken Welsh 
  • Passionate about music and knowledgeable of current trends within the sector
  • Previous experience or degree within marketing, advertising or graphic design
  • Keen eye for social media, engagement and trends
  • Outgoing, confident personality
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to work flexibly in a small team, building strong day-to-day relationships with colleagues
