Half Happy emerged in Lockdown and when everyone could go back to the pub they went straight to the studio with friend and Producer Tom Rees (of Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard) to record their first few tracks. Their new single ‘Runaway Girl is a softer tale which drowns you in oooh’s, pensive guitars and bubbling bass which take you on the guilt train and back. They’ve all known each other for 9 years from Uni, Zac and Jon go back further to bad haircuts in high school. The four of them live within a cosy Cardiff radius, where everybody knows your name (almost). Their music is bittersweet, airy, dreamy indie but with the hope to hit you hard at times (their collective love for post-punk will soon fight to shine through). They’re Half Happy.
