On the Friday 31st March, we return to Clwb Ifor Bach with one of our favourites
Final release tickets are released on Monday 6th at 7pm. Make sure you get them by putting yourself on the waiting list: http://bit.ly/cyntvynehalltickets
Taking obvious foundations from house, techno, disco, funk, hip-hop and soul, Vynehall incorporates an eclectic array of sounds in his productions and sets.
“I like chords, I like atmosphere and some sort of emotion in music. Rather than it being just about the dance floor, I like it to being a bit of both. I like to take a sound and change it, manipulating things so they sound a bit dusty.”
Pitchfork – “… muscled low end, with the rich harmonies … piano chords, silken disco string, rounded horns … ”
His 2014 release of ‘Music For The Uninvited’, was a turning point in his career. Resident Advisor called the EP “one of the most eclectic and rewarding house records you’ll hear all year”, rating it 4.5 / 5. Vynehall’s touring of the world then began, with stand-out sets at The Warehouse Project, Berlin’s Panorama Bar and Ibiza’s DC-10 to festival stages as far afield as Los Angeles to Tokyo.
In 2016, ‘Rojus’ was released, each track peppered with sounds inspired by the documentary: bird calls, little tweets, predatory panting. Featured stand-out tracks such as Blush and Beau Sovereign, later it was coined ‘Best Album’ at the DJ Mag Awards
We can’t wait to have him join us in Clwb Ifor Bach and are expecting wonderful things from his 2 hour set
